OCTOBER HAUL pt.ll

Hey Candies!!

MAC RUSSIAN RED & CHATTERBOX
This is another addition  to my October hauls.. Yep. I went shopping ytd and I ended up with all this new babies! The let time I checked with MAC they were out of Chatterbox so I was really glad they have it ytd. Anyways, it's been a long time since I've shopped at Sephora and I was happy to see that they finally have Make-Up forever, benefit & Bare Essential now. So I guess I gotta save more $$$ now for new toys! My current obsession.

Anyhows, I don't really wear red lip pies but idk, ytd I just told the sales person to give me the reddest matte lipstick they have. She gave me 2 choices and I got this Russian Red which is damn smoking hot! I still find myself looking so weird in red lipstick.. Seriously.. Limme give you an example photo.
Please excuse the make-up. I just got home and I just gotta try the Russian Red. It intrigued me a lot. You see, I love wearing either Pinks or Neutral colors for lippies. So Reds are very new to me. Haha.. How?

I also bought a beauty buffer sponge which I've heard is very good. So today I'm gonna try it out. Bought BodyShop's Extra Virgin Minerals Powder Foundation too. I've yet to try it out too. Most probably end of this month I'm gonna replenish my Bobby Brown powder foundation I just had to gave it a miss ytd coz if not I'll be damn broke now. lol.. You see, my hobby is kinda pricey. Oh wells..

Sorry I've not been blogging much about beauty stuffs. I've been kinda busy lately. But I assure you, there are loads of BEAUTY FROM NATURE stuffs that I really wanna share. But at the moment, I just wanna share my October Haul..

So yeah... Have a fantastic Saturday lil Monstersss!!!

OCTOBER FAVORITES!!

Hey Lil Monstersss!!!

So I've had my October Haul.. It came in a few days ago! Hahaha... And well, yeah, another happy girl..
You can all get this at SHOPPING-DISTRICT.COM and if you purchase above $50 you'll get one freebie like this Maybelline Shadow Stylist I got it as a freebie.. It's like a highlighter. I've tried the white of that and it was nice. Pretty good as a highlighter..
SLEEK LIP STAIN in PEACHY KEEN
NYX WHITE EYESHADOW BASE
MAYBELLINE SHADOW STYLIST in VINTAGE CHAMPAGNE.. (freebie!)
EOS LIP BALM in HONEYSUCKLE.. Best Lippie EVERRRR!!! I so love this baby!!!
A swatch of the SLEEK LIP STAIN..
SLEEK LIFE'S A PEACH blush.. It's really cute and since it's so small like it's only 8g it's like half of my palm only!
So last night I was cleaning my brushes. And let me just share with you how I thoroughly clean my brushes.. Ofcourse there's no right or wrong when it comes to brush cleaning. Everyone have different styles of brush cleaning. I just wanna share mine.

I start off by getting a clean plate or plastic container, whichever is available, then I would pour in EVOO and I am using an organic one & about 2 squirts of Anti-bacterial soap. I don't really measure, I like to estimate.. Oh well...
Misture of Organic EVOO & Anti-bacterial soap
a sample of my very dirty foundation brush... eowwww..
dip the brush onto the mixture and then on your palm start sweeping the brush in a circular motion. This is applicable to all the brushes..
sparkling clean!
To keep your brush's shape, I use this BRUSH GUARD which I purchased from COASTALSCENTS.COM
As you can see it has holes in it so the brushes can breathe too. Air circulation is very important. And it's stretchable!
Kabuki will retain it's firmness in shape and yet it's soft to use!!
Safe and sound.. Brushes from MAC from their TARTAN COLLECTION.
lastly, let the brushes air dry. Place them in a container standing so the water would not go to the brush's ferrule.
After the first oil & soap cleansing, I would do a second one but this time using a gentle soap this is just to take out the oil on the brushes. We don't want oily brushes now do we?? Haha.. Same, on the palm do a circular motion sweeping of the brushes and then rinse with water.

Take a clean cloth or a kitchen napkin and blot those excess water.. And then using my brush guard, shape and slip the brush in. Dry, bristle down in a cup.

The Brush Guard is a new way to protect the vulnerable bristles of your powder brushes. It is a stretchable, breathable tube which slides over a brush handle onto the bristles. Select the size that fits snugly over your brush's ferrule (the metal part) and will not slide back nor crush the bristles. Get yours now at www.coastalscents.com.

Have a great Sunday Candies!!

MY KIND OF FUN

Hey Candies!!

It's been a while yeah? Sorry. I've been busy and I've just got so many things to do. Anyhows, I've just finished ordering online another beauty haul. EOS lip balm, Sleek Pout Paint & blush on and lastly NYX eyeshadow base. Should be arriving next week.

On some certain days, when boredom strikes and net surfing is just too plain boring, I grab my make-up case and start painting and having fun. I know. I paint my face just for fun and after I'm done, take some snaps, and then wipe it off. Lol.. My kind of idea of having fun. Being a girl is kinda expensive too yeah?!
Geisha Inspired
Kiwi Fresh
Rio Carnival
Blue Lagoon
Well, I had fun. But of course this is not my daily make-up. I certainly can't be wearing this to work you know. The Geisha Inspired is a wee bit extreme. I like the Rio Carnival, it's pretty cute!! Next is the Kiwi Fresh which is really nice!

I used the UD Primer Potion. Eye shadows were all from Coastal Scents Original 88 except for the Rio Carnival look which is from the Sleek Curacao Palette. And of course falsies for a little enhancement.

Hope you lil Monstersss liked it. Till next time! Byes!

A lil bit of..

Hi!

BB will be on his ICT for the next 3 weeks.. Sure I'll miss but I think it's great to be apart from him for a while. At least we'll miss each other rather than seeing everyday. It's a gloomy day today, well, once in a while it tends to get gloomy as it's the monsoon season thus people tend to get sick. I've recovered from my flu and earlier I just had a pint of ice cream. A great day to look forward tomorrow. Spending the day with my bestfriend. Miss her alot!

Alright. That's it for now. Byes!

URBAN DECAY: NAKED PALETTE

Hey Candies!!

A few months ago I finally got myself the coveted Urban Decay Naked Palette and boy oh boy was I happy or what?! Before getting one of my own, this baby has been sold out for months in all Sephora outlets here in Singapore and even online! A prrof of how much ladies all over wants this palette not just because of the name but because of the quality of this product thus resulting to such high demand in the market. Although this is not a limited edition but it's easily sold out. So  on that day after I got the news from Sephora, I instantly went out to grab myself one. Actually I bought 2, one for me and one for Cheryl. While I was inline to pay, I saw this paper pasted by the cashier counter that the UD Naked Palette will be sold to maximum of 2 palettes per person! Lol. Am I so glad I finally got myself one & Cheryl as well.. Without much further ado, here's the URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE!!
My favorites among the 12 colors..

You can find this at any Sephora stores or online. Sephora's selling this at SGD75 or something. It's really worth it!! It comes in 12 eye shadows. Most of the colors are shimmery and there's only 2 that is matte which is BUCK & NAKED. The colors were just so awesome and all of them are really highly pigmented. Love the "VIRGIN" shade which is best for highlight. So far this is the best collection I've encountered when it comes to neutral shade. Hah! I even have this tag line that I tweeted sometime ago or was it in my FB and I said "YOU CAN NEVER BE NAKED IN THIS NAKED PALETTE!" Lol.. Sounds nice!

I have been using this baby the most than the rest of my palettes most especially if I opt for a far more natural look. The "CREEP" shade which is shimmering black, yeah it's pigmented but I don't find it as nice as MAC's Carbon. Like yeah I know Carbon is matte and Creep is shimmer but I don't really like it. The shades that I love the most in Naked are: SMOG, HALF BAKED, DARKHORSE, TOASTED & HUSTLE. Love Half Baked the most coz it's gold in color and it really looks damn nice especially if you wanna have like those Egyptian kind of inspired look with tons of Gold, Bronze and Blacks..

So as you can see, the colors they have are really good from day time look to night time. They start off with very light shades that is best used as highlights, then off to gold, then browns and finally grey to black! So at any given day and time, you have this 12 colors to choose from to get different looks regardless if it's a make up for daytime or night time. I'd say this is worth as an investment in make-up. And it's very good for traveling! Handy! You can never go wrong with this baby! Oh!! And yeah, the palette when you purchase it, doesn't just come with a brush but it also comes with a mini UD Primer Potion! What a treat! If you didn't know, Primers are essential to achieve a crease-free make and it helps to make the colors last longer and pop!

So if you're interested, just check out Sephora stores and if it's out of stock then I suggest you just wait for it to be in stock. It's a permanent item in UD so they will keep on producing this baby. So that's it and have a great day ahead Candies! It's raining here now. Feels so cold... brrrrr..

SLEEK CURACAO PALETTE & POUT PAINT..

Hey lil Candy Monstersss!!

Woke this morning with a huge smile plastered on my face! Why?? It's because my Sleek package just arrived! A few days ago I've ordered online Sleek Curacao Palette, Pout Paint & a pack of falsies. *roll eyes. Anyhows, the package arrived ytd but I was out and when I came back it was early morning. So today, when I woke up, I found my package on my bedside table! Woots!!! That got me full energized!

How I came about this baby? I was watching my Guru on YouTube and on that particular video she was using the Sleek Curacao Palette and it was really good! The colors were highly pigmented. So I Googled the make-up and was quite surprised to see that this brand is a street brand, oh sorry! Make it a HIGH STREET BRAND make-up from UK. So it's like Loreal, Revlon and so on category or as beauty guru's name them "drugstores make-up".

Anyways, this brand is established all throughout Europe, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, & Nigeria. They have plans to expand more new territories worldwide. For more info about this brand go to www.sleekmakeup.com and check out some of their other collections.

It came in layers upon layers of bubble wrap! (:
And they named the colors with cocktail names!! I like! (Y)
Here's the swatches.. They have 6 matte & 6 shimmer! I love the Tequila Sunrise!!
And I got myself a Pout Paint in MILKSHAKE!!
Pigmented much & really cute!
Plus I got myself a freebie! That's for shopping over 50 bucks! lol.. I've never seen this in any Maybelline stores. It's a loose powder or something that is best for highlights especially on the brow bow area. I think they're not selling this anymore. Oh wells..

Errmmmm... Happy or what?

What I love about SLEEK is that even though they're a street brand but their products are really very good! The packaging reminds me of Urban Decay although the palette casing is like Coastal Scents. The palette is highly pigmented especially the shimmer ones. My personal favorite is the Tequila Sunrise (Orange) & Singapore Sling (Pink), both are in shimmer. The Pout Paint is awesome! I love how deep the color is. As the name itself, Milkshake, it really does look like strawberry milkshake!! Lol.. Only it doesn't taste like milkshake!  (:

Anyhows, that's the end of this entry. If you guys are wondering where I got this from online, you can go to SHOPPING-DISTRICT you can find other products too. But I've just checked out the site again and I can't find the Curacao Palette anymore. I think it's sold out & this is a limited edition, I'm not so sure if they're gonna produce some more coz a lot of chikas are buying this hot stuff. But they do have other Sleek palettes that you can check out. Similar to this palette would be Sleek Sunset Palette. Or you can check out the Sleek website!

Have Fun Candies & love life being a girl.!

Much Love,

FACIAL SCRUB WITHIN MY REACH

Hi lil Candy Monstersss!!!

Previously, I blogged about Coffee Scrub and the wonders it does.. Smells great too! But I wouldn't recommend it for facial use but ofcourse if you wanna do it then by all means you guys can do it. Today, I'm gonna share with you guys my facial scrub. Let's get started!

All you need to have is:

Brown Sugar is used as an exfoliate that gently cleanse the skin without any residue that can clog pores that leads to breakouts & blemishes. It contains glycolic acid & it serves as a dual purpose by tightening pores & adding moisture to the skin leaving it smooth & and soft.

Olive Oil contains 77% Monounsaturated fatty acids, 14% Saturated fatty acids and 9% Polyunsaturated fatty acids and Vitamin E. It is great to use as skin moisturizer, exfoliator, nail and cuticle care, eye make-up remover and great for hair care!

Sweet Almond Oil is a rich source of Vitamin E, A & B with regular use will reduce wrinkles and will make you look younger & radiant.

Honey is beneficial due to the antibacterial, high potassium, antioxidant and antiseptic properties which honey contains and have a similar effect to that of hydrogen peroxide, so honey on skin enables your pores to shrink without drying out the skin. Plus it's a natural Humectant. Moisturizes & hydrates your skin.

All you need to do is take a bowl mix 2 tbsp of brown sugar with 1 tsp of Olive Oil and be sure that it's EVOO, 1 tsp of Sweet Almond Oil (but you can skip this if you don't have) & 1 tsp of honey. Mix well. You must have a thick consistency and not too oily. I've experimented with different measurements and this one suits me fine. Now it this measurement is not good enough for you, you can go ahead and alter some. Just make sure that you don't pour too much EVOO. You should get a consistency like this:

I make small batches only. You don't really need alot. Now that you have your facial scrub, go the shower and enjoy your all natural, home made and inexpensive facial scrub! It's also a great lip scrub which I do too! You'll love it! Ofcourse after doing my facial scrub I wash it off and use my black soap.

Happy Scrubbing Candies!

COFFEE SCRUB

Hey Candies!!
Are you people, especially ladies having problems with ugly cellulite? Varicose Veins? Well, for all those coffee lovers out there especially YOU ladies, here's a fun treat for you! Simple, safe, and all natural. Everything you will need is inside the kitchen! Here we go!

Coffee Scrub!!! (:

Before we get started, let me share with you the important properties of our ingredients.

Coffee is a brewed beverage with a dark, slightly acidic flavor prepared from the roasted seeds of the coffee bean. The caffeine content in coffee is much more higher than any other plant that is consumed by humans like tea and as such. The biggest factor as to why coffee is such an amazing scrub is that one, it distributes fat cells on your body and therefore prevents formation of cellulite and also diminish the ones that are already there. Two, Caffeine is a vascular restrictor, it will shrink your blood vessels. So if you have varicose veins, it will diminish the appearance of veins in the surface of the skin. And third, it acts a vascular constrictor which means it tightens and firms the blood vessels as a result your skin will appear firm & smooth.

African Wild Honey is the concentrated nectar of flowers that comes straight from the extractor. It is unheated, pure, unpasteurized, & unprocessed. It's nutritional profile is primarily carbohydrates, water, vitamins & minerals. It is an excellent source of antioxidants, it has inherent antiseptic & anti-fungal properties. Retains & attracts moisture to skin. Stop premature aging/minimizes fine lines and enlarged pores. Works well to ease boils, eczema, bumps & more. And it helps in tissue healing & prevents scaring.

Brown Sugar is used as an exfoliate that gently cleanse the skin without any residue that can clog pores that leads to breakouts & blemishes. It contains glycolic acid & it serves as a dual purpose by tightening pores & adding moisture to the skin leaving it smooth & and soft.

Jojoba Oil is extremely beneficial to your hair & skin. It is a perennial shrub found it Northwestern Mexico and parts of California & Arizona. It has rich contents of Vitamin E.  It moisturizes, develops new hair cell growth, non-irritating to the skin & antibacterial.

So those are the ingredients. For this you will only need a bowl to mix the ingredients in, a spoon or stick & a container to put the scrub.

How to do it? It's so simple! All you have to do is get that coffee grinds that you have (and please make sure that it's fresh) and put it in the bowl. Next pour in brown sugar depending on the amount of coffee that you have I don't have a proper measurement really, mix well. Then you wanna add in your Olive & Jojoba oil both in 2tbsp mix well and lastly add 1tbsp of African Wild Honey. Well any honey will do, but I just used African Wild Honey just so because this is somewhat the purest form of honey. Mix well until you'd get that soft, fluffy, creamy consistency. Once everything is mixed well and done, head to the showers and enjoy your home made Coffee Scrub!! And it does smells great!!!

There are many ways to DIY coffee scrubs. You can go and search more on YouTube and be amazed with how cheap natural beauty can be. No need to buy all those expensive stuffs. They just rob you out!!

And oh! P/S: I wouldn't recommend this as a facial scrub. I do have a separate scrub for my face which is also from my kitchen!! In my next post I'll tell you guys about my Facial Scrub and what I use.

So this is the end of it. Hope I have inspired you all and remember to save those coffee grinds! It works so many wonders!

Happy Scrubbing!

Much Love,
Ivy
